Successful Partnerships in Road Maintenance
From 1999-2011, we partnered with MWH Global (now part of Stantec) and Transit New Zealand (now NZ Transport Agency) under the framework of Performance-Specified Maintenance Contracts (PSMCs) to enhance road maintenance across the Northland region.

Our collaboration focused on achieving effective outcomes through performance-based contracting. Unlike traditional contracts that might specify exact methods and materials, a PSMC allows the contractor flexibility in how they achieve the performance standards. This can encourage innovation and efficiency.
Throughout this period, we successfully delivered the designs of numerous small projects, these projects included minor realignments, right turn bays and Diagram E treatments. These designs ensured that road conditions, safety, and serviceability were consistently maintained to the highest standards. Our commitment to performance and quality contributed significantly to the region’s infrastructure, demonstrating our capability and dedication in the field of civil engineering.
Through this partnership, we not only fulfilled our contractual obligations but also set new benchmarks in road maintenance, reflecting our ongoing commitment to excellence in all our projects.
